“Practice Makes Perfect” - FSG Engaged in Security Drills for China-Laos Railway

2022-09-30

Under the guidance of the Chinese Embassy in Laos, the Lao Ministry of National Defense, and the Lao Ministry of Public Security, organized by Laos-China Railway Company, planned and participated by Frontier Services Group (FSG), the Railway Security Drills were successfully conducted at Vientiane Station on September 27th, 2022.

The drills simulated a scenario where passengers were threatened and injured by thugs with knives while lining up to check in at the station at 4:10 pm. FSG’s security guards immediately protected the passengers with equipment and reported the site situation to the Lao National Defense Force, police stations, hospitals, and their supervisors. The passengers were evacuated through the joint effort of security guards, station staff, and police officers, and the “injured” were treated by medical staff. Police officers and defense forces then carried on their field operations with the assistance of FSG guards.

After the drills, security guards of FSG received special interviews from CCTV, People’s Daily Online, Xinhua News Agency in Laos, China Radio International, and other media (more details on People's Daily Online).

As the security service provider to the Boten - Vientiane section of the China-Laos Railway, FSG played an essential role in planning and organizing the drills by following the guideline of “Drills serve as actual combat.” Several rounds of technical disclosure and training were presented so as to ensure an effective and successful outcome, which was valuable for FSG to safeguard the operation of the China-Laos Railway.
