FSG Engaged in Joint Protection for Chinese Enterprises in Nigeria

On October 13th, 2022, the Chinese Consulate General in Lagos led a joint security protection meeting for Chinese enterprises in Shagamu, Ogun State, Nigeria. Frontier Services Group (FSG) Nigerian company was invited to attend the meeting with more than 40 Chinese enterprises, local commercial chambers, and overseas Chinese groups.
Consul General Chu Maoming stressed that the Chinese government has always attached great importance to the safety of overseas Chinese citizens and enterprises. Currently, the security situation in Nigeria has not seen a significant improvement. However, there are still potential safety hazards calling for Chinese enterprises to pay more attention, such as insufficient security investment and loopholes in personnel management. The Chinese enterprises in Shagamu, Ogun State, are concentrated in one location and well connected with each other. Most of them have relatively complete security facilities, personnel, and practical joint protection experience. On this basis, they are encouraged to build a tighter security line by leveraging their strengths and avoiding weaknesses.
Entrusted by the Consulate General, Mr. Zhu Juncheng, General Manager of FSG Nigeria, put forward at the meeting the idea of building a joint security team in the region, echoed by the participants with great interest and active responses. Army chiefs and police officials in Shagamu were also invited to lecture on security.
Consul General Chu said that the practice of regional joint protection is an excellent attempt to guard regional safety. The mechanism can prioritize superior forces to counter possible mob attacks, help form a mutual protection pattern through close contact with local police departments, and establish a community of common destiny between Chinese enterprises and local communities.
