Nigeria is the leading oil producer and exporter in Africa. In recent years, the local security situation has become increasingly severe and complex due to various factors. Terrorist and criminal activities such as armed kidnapping and robbery are frequently happening in many places, which has posed a significant threat to the safety of Chinese enterprises and personnel in Nigeria.

To ensure the safety of enterprises and personnel, and improve their safety awareness and security measures, a number of Chinese central enterprises based in Nigeria held a joint security training in the capital Abuja on September 12^th, 2022. Mr. Zhu Juncheng, General Manager of Frontier Services Group (FSG) in Nigeria, was invited as an expert to conduct training for dozens of employees.

On September 17^th, FSG was invited again to lecture for the training session of "Nigeria Camp Security Protection" organized by the Security Operations Office of China General Chamber of Commerce (“the Office”) in Nigeria. Participated by the leaders from the Chinese Embassy and major Chinese enterprises in Nigeria, the training was conducted online and offline, with its main venue in the CCECC Nigeria office.

Considering the overall security situation in Nigeria, Mr. Zhu explained the focus and requirements of static security through personal, physical, and technical protection, analyzed the relationship between security planning and project investment, adequate access to security information, and proper allocation of security resources. He emphasized that the core of camp security should be adequate prevention and effective emergency response. Through the four-word guidance, "Awareness, Investment, Implementation, and Execution,” a sound security system could be established to achieve active prevention and adequate protection of the people in the camp.

The training was highly praised and recognized by the organizers and participants. As requested by the Office, FSG Nigeria produced a complete set of training videos for all their members to learn internally.
